[edit] Tintin Characters category?

I don't think that these characters should be included under the "Tintin Characters" category. They are featured in other works by Hergé, but not in the actual Tintin books. A reference is made in the article to characters who resemble them in one Tintin book, but there's no way to be sure. Anyway, even if Hergé did intend these drawings to be these characters, they are so minor as not to be mentioned by name. We may as well mention every other incidental minor character in every Tintin book.

Does anyone agree with me? I have a mind to remove this category from this article, but just though I'd ask opinion first. EuroSong 17:52, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

I totally agree. Lvr 18:10, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dutchies?

Hello, I will have to verify, but imo they're called Quick & Flupke in Dutch too (I'm Flemish). But I'm not entirely sure.

One more thing that's perhaps worth adding: it's not actually Hergé who started the series. He took it over after the first comic book.

In Dutch, they were called "Kwik en Flupke" originally (from the 1950s on), but were rechristened "Quick & Flupke" from 1985 on. And the series is created by Hergé, I have never heard that he would have continued a series by someone else. Fram 20:05, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Twoofakind cover.png

Image:Twoofakind cover.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
