The Province of Venice (Provincia di Venezia) is a province in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Its capital is the city of Venice. It has an area of 2,467 km², and a total population of 829,418 (2005). There are 44 comuni (singular: comune) in the province [1]. As of 2005, the main comuni by population are:
