Oliver Wilkes, born 2nd May, 1980 is an English rugby league player.
Oliver Wilkes plays for the Widnes Vikings in National League One. He also plays for Scotland.
Wilkes' position of choice is as a [[Rugby league positions#Second-row], however in 2007 he has moved into the front-row. He has in the past played at loose-forward.
Oliver Wilkes has a wealth of experience at a number of clubs, previously playing for Wigan, Whitehaven, Huddersfield, Leigh, Sheffield and Keighley.
He was signed by Wigan during a run of injuries at the Super League club. He later joined Widnes initially on loan in 2006, a move that he later made permanent.
Wilkes has been a revelation with Widnes, in 2007 scoring 15 tries in 34 games. [1]
During 2006 he played through the pain barrier to help Widnes to the 2006 Grand Final before succumbing to surgery in the close season. [2]
Oliver Wilkes is an Scottish international.
