Why isn't there any mention of the fact that "Not Brand Ecch" became "What the..."?

Because it didn't. "Not Brand Echh" ran from August 1967 to May 1969. "What the...?" didn't start until August 1988 (it ran for 26 issues). "Wha ... huh?" was published as a one-shot in 2005. Each paid homage to the original (Irving Forbush even appearing in several What The issues), but they were not continuations. - Kevingarcia 05:25, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
There, added information about publishing dates of the latter comics. - Kevingarcia 05:31, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Red Tornado

Is there any reason why the Forbush Man's uniform should be considered a possible homage to the Golden Age Red Tornado other than the colour and big F on his chest? It appears to be an extraneous bit of information.--RedKnight 00:08, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

I agree. Although both are remarkably similar, I wonder if artists (Kirby?) were thinking of the then-obscure Red Tornado when creating Forbush Man. - Kevingarcia 04:24, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

I'll see about looking into this myself. Perhaps I can dig something up.--RedKnight 18:39, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Character Appearances

Perhaps a complete list of characters (and there 'real world' counterparts) would be of use, assuming that it could be compiled.--RedKnight 00:09, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

You mean listing all the parodies like "Nock Furious" and "Prof. Echh"? It would take some doing... I don't have the whole series... - Kevingarcia 04:23, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

I have the majority of the issues... still a few gaps to fill. I'll see what I can do (but it won't be anytime soon. :) )--RedKnight 18:38, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Marble Universe

I notice that there is no mention of this reality being called the 'Marble Universe', which you may wish to add to the text somewhere.--RedKnight 14:01, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Marvel Riot

An Age of Apocalypse spoof issue called "Marvel Riot" was released in 1995. The issue is very much a "Not Brand Echh" type release, yet the characters retain the names of the main Marvel Universe counterparts rather than being changed to their Marbel Universe alternates.--RedKnight 14:03, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
