The Northern Counties East Football League Premier Division is the top level of the Northern Counties East League, it is at the 9th tier of the football pyramid, and it acts as a feeder league into the NPL Division One.
For the 2007-08 season, there are 20 clubs in the league mainly from southern parts of Yorkshire and the northern part of the East Midlands. The bottom two clubs will be relegated to the Northern Counties East Football League Division One subject to clubs in higher leagues not folding.
