The Fourth Congressional district of North Carolina, in the central region of the state, is best known as The Triangle. It includes all of Durham and Orange counties, part of Wake County and a small section of Chatham County.
The district is currently being represented by David Price, who was first elected in 1987, was voted out in 1995 only to be elected anew in 1997. Congressman Price will defend the district against Republican challenger B.J. Lawson in the 2008 general election.
