Nigel Vagana (born February 7, 1975 in Auckland, New Zealand) is an international rugby league player for both New Zealand and Samoa rugby league, currently playing club football for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the National Rugby League competition.

Vagana also previously played for the (then) Auckland Warriors, Canterbury Bulldogs, Cronulla Sharks and Warrington Wolves.

Vagana has represented the New Zealand national team on thirty-two separate occasions between 1998 and 2006, including playing in the 2000 World Cup.

His position of choice is at centre; however he has played at five-eighth during his career on several occasions. Vagana announced his retirement from international rugby league following the 2006 Tri Nations series.

Vagana is also the cousin of Bradford Bulls prop-forward Joe Vagana and former Silver Ferns netball player Linda Vagana.
