[edit] Changes

The changes you are making do need verification, especially it being broadcast in the US and Canada. The sentance "The series was popular but due to its dark undertone and sometimes rather black moments, the show was axed after the third series. Many thought that the tone of the sitcom was too bleak for a prime-time mainstream broadcast" is firstly POV and secondly unreferenced. If critics said this then it does need to be referenced.
