Hello, welcome to WikiProject BBC!

We cover all articles that are related to the BBC and over time we aim to make all BBC related articles among the best that Wikipedia has to offer. We always welcome new members to assist us with this task, and so if you would like to help us with this, please feel free to add your name to our list of members.

On 3 January 2007, the BBC Portal was opened for the first time by this project. It contains a selected article, picture and biography as well as news relating to the BBC and a selection of interesting facts. Please feel free to join up and maintain the portal, as it needs updating regularly to keep things fresh. For more information please see our Portal Maintenance page.

Here are some tasks you can do: Merge: Suggested merge of Criticism of the BBC into BBC controversies (Discuss) Cleanup: Newsnight, BBC Prime, BBC Two Northern Ireland Expand: All 10 start-class BBC articles with Top importance - see here, BBC Lifestyle Stubs: Stub-Class BBC articles Update: BBC Portal NPOV: Criticism of the BBC (See comments) Other: Ensure all our articles have the talk page template added to their talk pages. Add free use images for biographical articles. Add infoboxes to the BBC articles without infoboxes. Get our new task force on BBC Sitcoms going. Add references to Goa Mix (see assessment) and Coat of arms of the BBC.

A list of all BBC related articles that have been assessed as stubs can be found here. Please help the project by expanding and improving these articles. Also, please re-assess any articles that you no longer consider to be stub class.

Add images of idents and programmes whenever possible, respecting the requirements of Wikipedia's guideline on "Fair Use" of copyright images. Also please help to add appropriate images to biographical articles, again remembering the above guidelines.

Anyone wishing to request an article relating to the BBC should add a URL link which provides information relevant to the request or provide a brief explaination of what the requested article is about on the BBC WikiProject Requests.

Almost all BBC articles have been assessed, however there is still work to be completed: articles that have already been reviewed need to be monitored, so that ratings can be changed when necessary. By rating articles you can help us to identify which are only stub or start class and thus need improving, and also which are most important to the project. You can help to rate WikiProject BBC articles at the assessment page.
