[edit] 32d Air Division
I propose re-naming the above division "32nd Air Division" to bring it into conformity with the standard naming convention of the other U.S. Air Divisions. If you agree, I volunteer to do the leg-work to ensure there are no dead Wikilinks. Pen of bushido 17:44, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

News The Grand Forks article is a great example to follow when working on other city articles, particularly those about North Dakota cities. We would be very well off if our other major city articles were similar to the Grand Forks article. Keep the Grand Forks article bookmarked and refer to its structure and style when you work on similar articles. ---New assessment parameter--- The importance of each article is gauged as either Top, High, Mid, or Low. Since "importance" is a rather subjective term, some WPND members are trying to come up with a general set of guidelines. Check out this thread on the WPND talk page to see proposals and to share your own opinions of what is and isn't "important" in the state. |

[edit] 840th Air Division
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have perfomed a web search with the contents of 840th Air Division, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://ranger95.com/airforce/af_divisions/840th_ad.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 10:20, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, CSBot catches about 100 copyvios per day— but there is a cost to pay: some amount of false positive that require good faith authors to justify and remove tags. Most people agree it's a small price to pay, but it's still annoying when it happens to one's own articles. :-) — Coren (talk) 15:59, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Military history WikiProject coordinator election
The Military history WikiProject coordinator election has begun. We will be selecting nine coordinators from a pool of fourteen candidates to serve for the next six months. Please vote here by August 28! Kirill 01:18, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Request for assistance
As someone with whom I have reviewed or worked with on an article or talk page, I humbly request your assistance in reviewing the Aggie Bonfire page for Featured Article status. Any/all constructive input is welcomed and appreciated on the FAC nomination page, but please read the instructions for reviewing before you make a comment. Thanks in advance for your assistance. — BQZip01 — talk 05:25, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. Any chance you could copy your comments into the FAC nomination page and give us a Support nod? — BQZip01 — talk 04:07, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- BTW, Texas A&M has an excellent veteran's affairs department and would likely be very happy to look at your admissions package. My brother is there now working on his Master's degree. I can ask him to look into it if you really are interested. — BQZip01 — talk 04:07, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] United States WikiProjects
Just curious why you moved the content of Wikipedia:WikiProject United States/United States WikiProjects into Template:US-related_WikiProjects. The former was already being used as a template by all of the U.S. WikiProjects, it just wasn't in the Template namespace. I don't see the advantage of "nesting" it like this. For example Wikipedia:WikiProject Minnesota transcludes {{Wikipedia:WikiProject United States/United States WikiProjects}}, and now it has to go find the content inside {{Template:US-related_WikiProjects}}. As an analogy, we used to have a bucket of water, and now we have a bucket with a bucket of water inside it. — Jonathan Kovaciny (talk|contribs) 20:59, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- I thought I was reducing and simplifying the code on the page. There are also other state projects that use the template, so I was going for standardization too.... If I'm wrong (as, unfortunately, I sometimes am :-) ...), feel free to revert. Thanks, and have a nice day! - NDCompuGeek 21:06, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi ND, greetings. Came across this page; you'll probably remember once you look at it that it's one of Ron Mixer's rather misguided articles. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:NDARNG_2006-8-16.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:NDARNG_2006-8-16.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:49, 31 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECU≈talk 16:49, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Little context in Category:Officers of the United States Army National Guard
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Officers of the United States Army National Guard, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Officers of the United States Army National Guard is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Officers of the United States Army National Guard, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
