"My Only Wish (This Year)" is a song written and produced by Brian Kierulf, co-written by Josh Schwartz and recorded by American singer Britney Spears. It was released as the first Christmas single by Spears in December 2000 (see 2000 in music). The song has reached the top ten in several countries, and it is one of the most commercially successful Christmas singles of the modern era.

According to Entertainment Weekly, it is "one of the best holiday songs, and one of the best of 2000[1] late 2006, it had become the second best-selling holiday ring tone of all time in the U.S. [2] In the end of 2007 the song has huge popularity worldwide in the iTunes store and radio airplay. The song can be found in many Christmas CDs such as Ultimate Christmas 2.

Prior to the release of Platinum Christmas in 2000, the song was amongst the most praised and recommended of the albums tracks and became a fast favorite of reviewers and fans. More recently, MNS has praised the song in their review[3], as has Entertainment Weekly, most notably saying "it is one of the best holiday songs, and one of the best of 2000[4]"

The song can be found on many popular Christmas albums, the original release of the song was in 2000 on the hit album Platinum Christmas, the second release was on Now That's What I Call Christmas!, but the most popular release of the song was on the 2004 album Ultimate Christmas 2, the most recent release was on the album Christmas Pop in 2007. All of these albums can be found at Amazon.com and at the iTunes store. The song can also be heard on the abc family original movie "Snowglobe".
