[edit] Badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics
Fine to say, a separate article you create for Badminton at the Summer Olympics is unnecessary, because the list is still NOT the final confirmation from each NOC, so it is not official, see the talk i place in article talk page, you will more understand. Also, the list will bring to the result section after the draw, so it is too excessive to double the work. Anyway, i hide the list first, as i did in earlier version, before the official list emerge --Aleenf1 13:45, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- I hope you see Badzine page, its already claim NOT an official list, at the end, BWF still not yet publish the official list until sometime after June because its need confirmation from each NOC. --Aleenf1 13:48, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
-
- first, yes, the list will bring to the result section after the draw, but we are still working on Qualification Pages, not only Badminton, see Boxing, Wrestling, Cycling, Judo, Archery, Taekwondo, Shooting, Diving, Water polo and ...
- I never read Badzine or another Unofficial websites, we read the qualification Rules and also we have BWF Ranking (1 May). and now we make this unofficial list. after confirmation from each NOC , we will make Official List.--Mohsen1248 (talk) 14:38, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

- Did you understand? this list is going to build in 5 result articles, each cover single category as did in 2004, try to see that, i did not agree you bring up the unofficial list, it is violate the policy of WP:FUTURE, BWF will publish the official list later, then we only can do it after the confirmation from each NOCs, see the news, Zhang Ning could be not in the position, so don't blurry people. Also you double the work which is unnecessary in the future. Sorry, i redirect back, is still crystal ball that is violate the policy. --Aleenf1 03:47, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

- Hi there, I've had a look at the article in question, and Aleen's statements are correct. The article violates WP:FUTURE, also the reference that you gave doesn't state the information regarding the lists that you created. Therefore, unless you provide a reference which has that information on it, then you are also violating WP:OR which states no Original Research. Please obtain another reference which shows this list, as the PDF source from the BWF doesn't actually publish and unofficial list. Thanks, The Helpful One (Review) 09:59, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, i didnt create this list (another user) , but this list is correct. you cant find it on BWF Website directly, but BWF Ranking at 1 May is enough (plus Qualification Rules). this list not change nothing. it just help everybody to know more about olympians!--Mohsen1248 (talk) 11:01, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, those of that are not in the policy, as what you said, i still not satisfy:
- How you know the list is correct? The rules is not detail (what in Wikipedia), however, another player can take turn if the qualify player are not take part, conditions like Zhu Lin. That is why BWF still need the confirmation from each NOCs.
- So far, BWF are not publish any confirm material about the players to be participate. And until now, i can't see you raise any sources, you just always said you are correct. The WR is pull out to be 50-50 because some of them still very speculative. Thus, it still violate WP:RS, no sources raise.
- More importantly, one one site so far, that is Badzine, publish the "dummy list", which is not official, and unverify by BWF itself, thus that still WP:RS problem.
The other, i can't comment, via policy, know more Olympians is not one Wikipedian job, what we want is factual accuracy, thats all. --Aleenf1 14:07, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] A request/suggestion
Mohsen, could you possibly adjust the badminton qualification article to show all those players who are qualified to participate under the May 1 rankings? That is, to show where the NOC has a choice of participants (such as in the women's singles, where China has all 4 of the 1-4 rankings, and thus could enter any three of them; all four are qualified under the BWF rules). This would turn the list into a "who could play" (a mechanical application of the published criteria to the published rankings) rather than a "who will play" list (which is what it seems to claim to be at the moment, and which does require some degree of speculation).
I think this would address Aleen's verifiability issues. It would also increase the information available in the article, by showing where NOCs have options and what those options are. I think it's a win for everyone. Let me know what you think. -- Jonel (Speak to me) 23:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

- Though you response is very good good idea, but you still fail to response and just click rollback to address YOU ARE RIGHT. All the way, i link to May 1 ranking, and NOT use the list that not confirm by BWF until at some point BWF publish the complete list, so support Jonel suggestion, but you just simply response and ignore "a in for everyone suggestion". So, rollback will not solve the problem, i hope you can discuss first before hitting the rollback button --Aleenf1 17:29, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- I wrote my response, many times. you can write in the page about rules and NOC confirmation and possible changes (it is really good) , but you cant hide or delete the list ! i hope it is my last response --Mohsen1248 (talk) 17:53, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
