Miranda Jameson

Miranda Jameson Jacks was a fictional character on the American soap opera General Hospital. She is the ex-wife of Jasper Jacks. Leslie Horan [1] portrayed the role from 1996 until 1997.

Miranda was believed to have died many years before showing up in Port Charles. She was caught in an explosion and was severely injured, but not dead. She was hidden away by Jax's father, John Jacks.
She arrived in Port Charles on the day of Brenda Barrett and Jax's wedding. Sonny Corinthos figured out that he was still married and brought her to Port Charles in an attempt to break up the wedding. Miranda, whose face was disfigured and scarred in the explosion, had had extensive plastic surgery, but Jax recognized her by her eyes.
Miranda decided to stay in Port Charles which infuriated Brenda. Brenda thought she was staying in order to get Jax back. In 1997, Jax and Miranda decided that their relationship was over. They drove to Buffalo to file their divorce papers. On the way back from Buffalo their car skidded on ice and they were stranded together. When they returned to Port Charles Brenda was kidnapped by Harry Silver. Jax thought that Sonny and Brenda ran off together. Jax kissed Miranda, but Miranda did not want him on the rebound.
Miranda became friends with Katherine Bell who was paralyzed after being shot. They bonded over the fact that Miranda had to learn how to walk again after she was injured in the explosion. While visiting with Katherine when Stefan Cassadine showed up and Miranda found him to be very unsettling. She avoided him and Alexis Davis whenever she could. Dr. Pierce Dorman recognized Miranda but could not remember from where.
When it became apparent that Jax and her were not going to get back together, Miranda left Port Charles to rebuild her life.
