Farah Mir is a fictional character on ABC's daytime drama General Hospital portrayed by Rosie Malek-Yonan [1] [2].

Farah Mir was first introduced on June 9, 2008. She is of Iranian descent and the mother of Leyla Mir, a young nurse at General Hospital. She is strong willed and a bit domineering. She has a deep love and concern for her daughter and but tends to run her daughter's life. Farah wishes to see Leyla married to a well-to-do Iranian. She comes to town to cause trouble. [3]
