[edit] Notability

I've never noticed a notability notice appear so fast! I am working on including the history of the club which is one of the premier clubs in the olympic sport of figure skating in the world. I work by including pieces at a time, so when first created there is not very much. The Club has produced many Canadian champions and several world and olympic champions, so it should be notable. I will defer to notability guidelines, but don't speedy delete. Alaney2k (talk) 18:39, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

After reading the guidelines, I should state the importance of the subject. The Club has of course developed Olympic and world champions. It is also important for the development of the sport in Canada and the world, by founding the skating associations in Ottawa and Canada, and participates in the International Skating Union. This will be added to the article, with appropriate references. Alaney2k (talk) 18:53, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
