Michael Richard Lewis (born August 17, 1979) is the rhythm guitarist for the Welsh alternative metal band Lostprophets. He studied civil engineering for a year before turning to music. His mother was a shop assistant, and his father worked in management for a chemical company. Mike attended Hawthorn High School, Pontypridd, and was in the same year as Lostprophets vocalist Ian Watkins, and his favourite subjects were science and history. Originally he was the bassist for the band but soon became a guitarist alongside Lee Gaze and Stuart Richardson replacing him on bass. He has so far recorded three albums with the band, with the newest, Liberation Transmission, reaching number 1 in the UK album charts. In September 2006 he married girlfriend Amber Payne. Mike now resides in Santa Monica, California.
