[edit] Biography
Good was born in Panorama City, California, the daughter of Tyra Doyle, who works as her manager, and Leon Good, an LAPD officer.[1][2] She was raised in Santa Clarita, California and began her acting career at the age of four when she began appearing in commercials.[3] By age 10, Good was landing roles on television series including Gabriel's Fire, Nickelodeon's Cousin Skeeter, and On Our Own. Her breakout role came in 1997 with the film, Eve's Bayou.[4]
Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, she continued to land roles in television series and films. In addition to film and television work, Good has also appeared in music videos by Will Smith, 50 Cent, K-Ci & JoJo, and the R&B group Isyss (her older sister, LaMyia Good, is a member).[2]
In 2006, Good voiced a character for the video game Scarface: The World Is Yours. That same year, she appeared in Waist Deep with Tyrese Gibson and produced her first film, Miles From Home, in which she also co-starred. The following year, she landed a role in the drama Stomp the Yard, alongside Columbus Short and Ne-Yo. In 2007, Good began production on the Mike Myer's film, The Love Guru.[5] In 2008, she appeared in the horror film One Missed Call. She has stated that she considers herself very spiritual and will not do roles she feels will disappoint God.[3]
