Mathias Schober born on April 8, 1976 in Marl, West Germany is a German footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Schalke 04.

Schober started his professional career with Schalke 04 in 1994 and stayed there for 6 years. Later he would have a short spell with Hamburger SV before settling in at Hansa Rostock where he was first choice goalkeeper. He then rejoined Schalke at the beginning of the 2007-2008 season.
