Marcin Wasilewski (pron. IPA: [ˈmartɕin vaɕiˈlɛvski]; born June 9, 1980 in Kraków), is a Polish defender who plays for RSC Anderlecht and the Polish national football team. Previously he played for Lech Poznań before being acquired by the Belgian club in January 2007. He is under contract with Anderlecht until 2011.
Wasilewski is a tough, no nonsense right back who enjoys runs down the line. For a defensive player, Wasilewski's goal record is quite impressive. This is mostly due to his great ability to score with his head from set-pieces.
