Malaysia rugby is very promising with many new players embracing the sport.Rugby in Malaysia is represented by the Malaysian Rugby Union, more commonly known as Kelab Ragbi Malaysia. Funding for the sport has not been very generous, but players make do with what they have and have done extremely well with what they have. The Malaysian rugby union team have good competition in their neighbours Singapore and Singapore-Malaysia matches are well contested and well viewed. Malaysia hopes to get into the Rugby World Cup by 2023 in accordance to Wawasan 2020.
