The creator of Maggie Horton is late soap opera writer and creator William J Bell who served as the headwriter of 'Days of our Lives' from 1966-1975 and as the show's storyline consultant from 1975-1976. Bell was the solo headwriter during this period. Rogers was casted as Maggie Horton after unsuccessfully auditioning for Bell's soap opera 'The Young and the Restless' in 1973, the year she debuted on DAYS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.79.195.31 (talk) 06:03, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
