[edit] Suggestions for improvements

1) Add in the alien invasions it suffered. K'Lanti in X-Factor #111 (a whole block of citizens exploded) and in X-Treme X-Men where much of the country was devestated.

2) Political coups. Didn't Wolverine literally kill the ruling parties?
