[edit] Speedy deletion of Application/pdf:BWY press release Oct 2007.pdf
A tag has been placed on Application/pdf:BWY press release Oct 2007.pdf, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Roleplayer (talk) 22:16, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
If you think a disambiguation page should be changed to an article on a different subject, please discuss on the talk page first. Cheers, -- Infrogmation (talk) 22:32, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pretty Baby
Please stop removing the content of this page and replacing it with an article. If the subject is notable, write a new article; removing content like that constitutes vandalism. J Milburn (talk) 22:44, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- If the band is definitely notable, it should be created at Pretty Baby (band), not Pretty Baby, which is reserved for the disambiguation page. J Milburn (talk) 23:00, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Pretty Baby (band)

[edit] Pretty Baby (again)
Ok, you have been warned about this. Please stop; continue to add this spam and you will find yourself blocked for disruption. J Milburn (talk) 20:03, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Note also that, unless you can write a neutral article that shows the notability of the band through citations to reliable sources, the article will continue to be deleted. J Milburn (talk) 20:08, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, such as Pretty baby (band), you will be blocked from editing. --Finngall talk 20:27, 16 April 2008 (UTC)- And now undoing my edits without even a comment? I'm not just some vandal. I was removing spammy material from the article. I am not quite sure what part of our neutral point of view policy you can't grasp, but you are really, really pushing your luck. J Milburn (talk) 20:42, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] April 2008
PROPOSED EDIT -
The Black and White Years are an indie electro-rock band based in Austin, TX. Original members Scott Butler, Landon Thompson, and John Aldridge formed the band in 2006 while attending Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Billy Potts joined the band in January of 2008 after their debut album had already been recorded.
The band is often compared to 80s post-punk groupTalking Heads. After seeing the young band perform live, former Talking Head member Jerry Harrison agreed to help them record their debut album [1].
At the time of the recording sessions, the band did not have a drummer, preferring instead to play live with the aid of programmed loops and sequenced drum tracks. For the recording, Harrison recruited Steve Ferrone, of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, to play the live drum tracks.[2]
In January 2008 the band was one of only three U.S. bands invited to perform at the annual international music conference MIDEM in Cannes France [3].

{{unblock|I apologize for those recreations. I didn't understand why the page was being deleted, so I would try to recreate it with less advertising and promotional value, but it wasn't right according to your guidelines. This is the first time I've ever tried to create an article on Wikipedia and I didnt mean to offend. Each time I recreated the page it was with the intent of making it appropriate for Wikipedia, and I just wasnt sure what i was doing wrong (until now), so I kept accidentally making the mistake. If I edit a different 'practice' posting, will you reconsider unblocking my username? (Lreuveni (talk) 20:01, 17 April 2008 (UTC))}}
- Every time you try to create an article that has been previously deleted, the software prints out the deletion log for you. This log provides clear reasons as to why the page was being deleted, with links to the appropriate policies for further information. You still haven't stated that you won't try to create that article again - if you do so, we may consider unblocking you. Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:04, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
{{unblock|I promise not to create that article again. I understand that I avaded guidelines (very much accidentally), and I do not wish to create promotional pages on Wikipediea. I honestly didn't realize that is what I was doing. It will not happen again. (Lreuveni (talk) 20:11, 17 April 2008 (UTC))}}
