There's a near identical page called "Lore Sjoberg," minus the umlauts. I suggest Wikipedia merge them, or delete the redundant file and redirect the links thereto.

[edit] Corsican Brothers
Was Lore’s comment related specifically to Cheech and Chong's The Corsican Brothers, or can we make this more general to The Corsican Brothers? (In his blog post, he doesn’t mention either explictly, as far as I can tell.)--Clipdude 02:53, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Shoberg?
While it would seem that his name was not originally Shoberg, he did seem to go by that "version" of his surname.
A search for "Lore Shoberg" turns up the following email address: velcro@ucscb.ucsc.edu
As is mentioned in the article, Lore used Velcro as an alter-ego and attended the University of Santa Cruz.
His father, also named Lore, is associated with the group Citizens for a Wilder West. On that site it claims that the founder is Lore Orion, whose pseudonym is Lore Shoberg. Lore (the son) also mentions this on Brunching. He is asked how can his last name be Sjoberg, and he replies:
My parents are named Lore Coyote Orion and Patty Prince. Go figure.
- A quote from Lore's blog on the subject of his name:
- "My family name, back in Sweden, was Sjöberg, but it was anglicized to Shoberg when the family came to the US two or three generations back. When I found this out, I legally changed my last name -- changed it back, by my way of thinking. "Lore" was originally my father's nickname, but it's my birth name, but actually my father legally changed his name to Lore Coyote Orion, so either way that explains why I'm not Lore Junior. Anyhow, back when he drew the cartoons he was Lore Shoberg."

[edit] FAQK
Half an hour of research leaves me still scratching my head. His (supposed) claim that the added K is for "Kevin", if it was he who said it, supports my speculation that he
- knows that using it is catchy, and that it's mainly a means of self-promotion, and/or
- likes the subliminal force of "FAQK you!"
I doubt my thots above exceed original research, but maybe i've missed the body of previous work on this important question. Can anyone write a 'graph for the article?

[edit] Ballocks
Is there a shred of notability in any of this stuff, or is this merely a puff-piece about a mildly amusing sock-puppet...I think we should be told?Excalibur (talk) 02:06, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
