[edit] Diva Search

Yada first came to World Wrestling Entertainment auditioning for the 2005 Diva Search and made it to the Top 30.[2] Despite being eliminated she auditioned again in 2007 and made it to the final 8 and placed 3rd overall in the competition.[3] On the October 22, 2007 edition of RAW she became the 6th contestant eliminated. Eve Torres would go on and win the Diva Search contest that year.

[edit] Smackdown

On November 10, 2007, Yada was signed to World Wrestling Entertainment and made her SmackDown! television debut on January 4, 2008 as a backstage interviewer, interviewing Matt Striker and Big Daddy V.[12]

[edit] ECW

After appearing only once on SmackDown!, on January 8, 2008, Yada was transferred to ECW. She hosted a "Diva Dance Off" between Kelly Kelly and Layla El, only to suddenly include herself at the end, and crown herself the winner.[13] She later joined forces with Layla against Kelly Kelly after she defeated them in a "Best Body" contest,[14] and so quickly turning heel. Yada then continued being a valet to both Victoria and Layla for the next couple of weeks. Since then Yada has primarily been used as a backstage interviewer due to an injured right arm. Lena Yada continued interviewing on both ECW and on WWE.com for ECW after the bell and special WWE.com exlusives. On the April 15 edition of ECW, Yada participated in a Divas Dance Off that also included Maryse, Layla, Eve Torres, and Kelly Kelly. Kelly Kelly ended up winning the contest.
