[edit] Lighthouse 21
Lighthouse 21 (L21) was a multimedia Christian ministry in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex that began in 1986 and came to an end in 2002.
The ministry began as Youth Wake, a Saturday night program on 91.7 FM KVTT which targeted the area youth. The show featured music from a mixture of Christian Rock and Rap artists along with an hour long youth talk show format at the end of the four hour program.
The show was hosted by Rick Walker, who was later joined by co-host Ted Blair. The show later became Lighthouse 21 and grew into a multimedia ministry with radio, television, Internet chat and live Internet streaming.
In the late 1990's Lighthouse 21 offered a "triple-cast" with both radio and television programing, alongside Internet chat and live Internet streaming. The radio program aired on KVTT-FM from 1986 to 2000, before moving to 89.7 FM KTPW (later KVRK) which was a sister station to KVTT at the time.
The television programing was aired on Channel 52 KFWD-TV from 1999 to 2000 and featured segments from the radio program as well as Christian music videos.
Both radio and television programs were streamed online at lighthouse21.com
