KUVN-TV, Channel 23, is the Univision owned and operated station in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. It transmits from Cedar Hill.

Channel 23 had previously been the home of educational television station KRET-TV in nearby Richardson from 1960-1970. But the station was transitioned to a closed-circuit television system and the broadcast license was returned to the FCC.
The current channel 23 license signed on in September 1986 as KIAB with English speaking religious shows in the morning, Spanish programming from SIN (Spanish International Network, which became Univision the next year) in the afternoon and evening, and shop at home programming on the overnights before it was sold to Univision in 1988.
At that point, the station began running Univision programming 24 hours a day, with some local Spanish speaking newscasts as well.
