Koena Mitra (Bengali: কোয়েনা মিত্র), born 7 January 1985 in Kolkata, India, is an actress in the Bollywood film industry, she was also a very successful and experienced model. Her name "Koena" is a name of a river in India.

A fantastic dancer, Koena was trained with Mamata Shankar ballet troupe for 12 years and that shows on her dance numbers on the screen. When she became an actress, she never had any godfather to guide her on her path to stardom. She had to make her own decisions.If not an actress, she would have been a designer. She likes to work on her own clothes and make-up.

She is a practising Hindu. As quoted of her saying:
- "Spirituality is a very relative term. It is more of a personal belief. I believe in Ma Kali and Durga. If I am in Mumbai I visit the temple every Saturday. It is like a feel good factor. Having said that, I don't think people who go to temples are more religious or something."

She initially gained prominence through winning Gladrags magazine's Mega Model Contest in 2002,Koena’s first break in Bollywood was an item number in Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Road’; the song “Khullam Khulla” became a big craze.She also appeared in a Tamil film Dhool with actor vikram in the title song. Koena played the lead lady in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena.
