Are any techniques in real life that gave origin to the story?

I'm not sure how to properly contribute to the page. Maybe one or both of these items could be useful for the wiki description of Kimagure.

I did some googling to find out if the word Kimagure was a real word in Japanese. It looks like it is. According to this link: http://lintel.typepad.com/plentyofnothing/2007/07/japanese-word-o.html, the word means adj. whimsical; capricious . They reference the Random House Japanese-English English-Japanese Dictionary.

I like this blog's definition of the art of Kimagure: 'Their mastery of (the)depiction of Kimagure, the Japanese art of understanding unpredictability, or otherwise whimsical actions, is mezmorizing.' Link: http://www.nshb.net/node/239 Mike8nj 08:14, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
