[edit] Dragonlance novels
BTW, in the future remember to tag articles with
- , ,
- Add the book infobox
- Add it to the list of new articles at WP:WPDL
For an example, see Blades of the Tiger. Thanks for contributing! Ddcc 23:27, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Port Balifor
This article has extremely little context for anyone stumbling upon it, and could be speedily deleted because of it. At the very least, the article needs to explain in the intro that this is about a place in a fictional universe. Quite frankly, I nearly tagged it as an attack page on some obscure tavern-owner somewhere ... ;-) --Pekaje 16:34, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- I went ahead and did tag it:
[edit] Speedy deletion of Port Balifor
A tag has been placed on Port Balifor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
It's a minor place in a fictional universe. Pretty much the definition of fancruft. Of course, the other editors or admins could easily disagree with that assessment. Eggishorn 16:41, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pig and Whistle Tavern
I have added a "prod" template to the article Pig and Whistle Tavern, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Thank you for your contributions
Thank you for your contributions towards Dragonlance! However, I must let you know, that your three recent articles on Port Balifor, the Blue Crystal Staff, and especially Pig and Whistle Tavern are unsuitable for Wikipedia. You see, none of them are notable enough for their own articles (however, they do exist elsewhere), and the third one is what we call fancruft; unimportant, non notable places, people, etc., that are only of minor use to fans of the series, and such a thing isn't appropriate anywhere on Wikipedia. I thank you for your contributions, but remember to keep your subjects notable and well written. DoomsDay349 20:28, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed deletion of Wanderlust (1991 novel)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Wanderlust (1991 novel), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

[edit] AfD nomination of Wanderlust (1991 novel)
I have nominated Wanderlust (1991 novel), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wanderlust (1991 novel). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
