[edit] CKS Memorial Hall
Ma Ying-jeou, the next President of the ROC, is expected to revert the change by Chen Shui-bian upon his inception as president. There was no reason to move the article to the current title, Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall, that is EXPECTED to be reverted back to the original name soon. Iamwisesun17 01:02, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of The Heritage Trilogy
A tag has been placed on The Heritage Trilogy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Tigerclaw81 (talk) 01:13, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Taiwan related articles
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed you had removed WikiProject China from the talk page of several articles. Since, rightly or wrongly, large numbers of Chinese consider Taiwan to be part of it, the removal created issues with maintaining a neutral point of view. Not to worry, I will be restoring the links and such as appropriate. Thanks! Ngchen (talk) 19:38, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- I got your message. I'm sure you're well aware of the issues surrounding the controversial political status of Taiwan. To say that "Taiwan" is/is not part of China is pushing a POV, since there are substantial numbers of people that will argue to the contrary, regardless of the position one argues. Therefore, a Wikiproject (namely Wikiproject China) ought to be included in order to maintain neutrality. Notice how Wikiproject Taiwan is kept; therefore both (or however many) sides get to be fairly represented, which is what the neutral point of view policy is all about. Thanks.Ngchen (talk) 22:42, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- I appreciate you bringing up the "official" thing. The issue then becomes, official to whom? From the PRC regime's perspective, Taiwan is the 23rd province, with no qualifications. From the perspective of countries (e.g. Russia) that are very friendly with the PRC, the PRC is correct. From the perspective of the de facto governing regime on Taiwan, it's part of the Republic of China. My point is that to assert any "official" version, regardless of who this "official" entity is, would be pushing a POV. and pushing any POV is a bad thing.Ngchen (talk) 23:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Moving pages
see Help:Moving a page--Jiang (talk) 07:07, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Copy and paste moves are not permitted because contribution history must be tied to the article for GFDL compliance. Please read the above page and request a move through the prescribed mechanism. Or better, discuss the move on the talk page first.--Jiang (talk) 18:46, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Please stop making repeated copy paste moves or you will be blocked from editing. You may propose or request that the page be moved properly.--Jiang (talk) 19:32, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
This is a copy-paste move. That is, you replace text with a redirect and copy/paste that same text onto another page, replacing the redirect there. From your contribution history, it looks like you've moved pages before. That's how it's supposed to be done.--Jiang (talk) 10:45, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pictures
Hi, I would suggest Wikimedia Commons [1]; the pictures there are freely usable and can be linked to directly from Wikipedia. Be careful when re-using images already in Wikipedia; a lot of them will be used under a "fair-use" rationale, which means we can generally only use them in one article. I hope that helps. [edit] Spam in W.C.Blair Recreation Center
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on W.C.Blair Recreation Center, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because W.C.Blair Recreation Center is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting W.C.Blair Recreation Center, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
