[edit] Synopsis

In a small town, there are two main sides. The first side is ruled by Max (Shahrukh Khan) and his gang, and the other side is ruled by Prakash (Sharad Kapoor). Both of the sides are in a continuous and constant conflict.

Max is an orphan Christian guy, and he has a twin sister called Shirley (Aishwarya Rai), who is a naughty, cool and bubbly girl. Max grows up into a rude and violent person. There is nothing worthy to him except of his sister, whom he protects and takes care of. He manages a huge rivalry with Prakash and his gang. They ride the bike with their gangs, arrange daily street fights, and are not interested in nothing special to do .

The story line turns when Prakash's younger brother Rahul (Chandrachur Singh) comes to visit him and reside in the town. Soon, Shirley and Rahul fall in love with each other, and now they have to overcome the hard obstacles of being together despite the rivalry between their brothers. A somewhat modern, localized interpretation of West Side Story.
