James G. Miller (born July 5, 1957 in Ripley, Mississippi) is a retired American football player. He had a 6 year career in the National Football League from 1980 to 1987 as a punter. He played in Super Bowl XVI as a member of the San Francisco 49ers. He now lives in Ripley, Mississippi with his family. He teaches at Ripley Middle School.
