Huntersville is also home to one private golf course, NorthStone Country Club (PB Dye design), one Semi-Private club, Skybrook Golf Club, and one Daily Fee course, Birkdale Golf Club (Arnold Palmer design).

Street navigation in Huntersville is becoming more and more difficult as Huntersville has been re-routing intersections so one must make a turn to stay on the same road. Examples are the recent changes made to both Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road and Gilead Road.
