Category:History of Finland
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Prior to 1809, what then became the autonomous Russian Grand Duchy of Finland had been an integrated part of Sweden (a.k.a. Sweden-Finland) more or less since the dawn of history in Scandinavia, i.e., since Christianization. Therefore, much of Finland's history prior to 1809 is covered in articles on the history of Sweden.
