I removed this:

The characters' identical designs are believed to be the first usage in traditional animation of a single design for multiple characters, in order to conserve resources.

cartoons were doing such since the beginning of animation. Even Huey, Dewey and Louie share a design, as do Popeye's nephews. --FuriousFreddy 01:03, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

How about the Marx Bros. quality of Heckle & Jeckle?

[edit] Television appearances missing here!

I recall first seeing them on television (CBS, perhaps?) - how about a discussion of their appearances on U.S. network TV? B.Wind 09:34, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Voices

Are you sure Frank welker did the voices? There is no reference ot it on imdb and he was only 1 when the show was created!

According to Sid Raymond's obit, he did the voices for Heckle and Jeckle. Maybe Welker did voices for them later on? Syrthiss 15:59, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Another voice artist who'd been cited as doing Heckle & Jeckle was Ned Sparks. As for Mr. Welker, I have to assume it was for the 1979 Filmation-produced TV cartoons. –Wbwn 18:55, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
I put all 4 artists listed at IMDB in. I have no reason to doubt their list. Syrthiss 19:12, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
