Haplogroup DE (Y-DNA)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In human genetics, Haplogroup DE (M1, M145, M203) is a human Y-chromosome DNA haplogroup. Haplogroup DE is the original YAP+ haplogroup[1].

Haplogroup DE is an estimated 65,000 years old and extremely rare.[2] In a recent study of over 8000 men worldwide including 1247 Nigerians, Haplogroup DE* was observed in only 5 Nigerian males.[3]

The two major branches of Haplogroup DE are Haplogroup D and Haplogroup E.
