Greg Peterson (born January 21, 1984 in Kenansville, North Carolina) is an American football defensive tackle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He was originally drafted by the Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at North Carolina Central.

Peterson played high school football at East Duplin High School in North Carolina. During his senior year he was named all-conference, all-state, was East Duplin’s Male Athlete of the Year and the teams Most Valuable Player.

Peterson played college football at North Carolina Central University. During his senior year he was named an All-American and Black College All-American. He finished his college career with 104 tackles, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one interception. His coach claimed him as one of many great young athletes to come.

Peterson was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He recorded his first career sack on September 30, 2007.
