[edit] what is point of this stub, and disambiguation?

sorry, but i don't understand the distinction between gimli the rural manitoba municipality, and gimli the manitoba town. i get the terms, but this town article is nearly empty, and the district article reads like a town article, and includes a pic of the town. are both really necessary? thanks. -- Denstat 08:13, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
