[edit] Stage name
The article contained the line,
"The name "Gedde" appears to be a transcription of the name Gary to Japanese and back into Roman letters."
This doesn't make any sense. "Gary" would be written ゲリ in Japanese, which would be romanized back to "Geri". The "r" being an alveolar tap would make Gary sound somewhat like "gay-dee" or "gay-lee", but Gedde himself pronounces Gedde "ged-day". AKADriver 16:48, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Oh ok, but it still -appears- that way. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.72.21.221 (talk) 07:01, 18 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Listed as Gay Actor??
Gay Actor? Dong??
- Gay Today [gaytoday.badpuppy.com/garchive/entertain/091001en.htm] seems to agree, but it may just be a misnomer, created by his role in Booty Call. -- Zanimum 14:55, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
This link (http://www.thewavemag.com/pagegen.php?pagename=article&articleid=23973) would seem to agree, though.69.209.32.58 23:51, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Oooh, evil. That citation above accidentally interpolates a bit of an unrelated, Brittany Murphy interview. I've re-removed the "Gay Actors" citation.

- Here you go. [1] I also heard him talk about his homosexuality on Loveline. Evan1975 22:21, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject class rating
This article was automatically assessed because at least one article was rated and this bot brought all the other ratings up to at least that level. BetacommandBot 16:14, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Pardon my ignorance. I did a lot of work to improve this article a couple of weeks ago, so I'm wondering what this "assessed" reference means. Was the rating of the article improved? If so, precisely why? Sorry that I didn't understand the previous statement. I've only been editing since April. Preston McConkie (talk • contribs) 04:11, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ethnicity?
His ethnicity is only alluded to...by referring to him not being able to speak Japanese. Can anyone be more authoritative on this? Davidmaxwaterman (talk) 13:44, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- He's Japanese American -- for example, see the following link [2]. — Myasuda (talk) 13:58, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
