Garching bei München or Garching is a town in Bavaria, Germany near Munich. It is the home of several research institutes and university departments.

The town is at , near the River Isar and the A9 autobahn. A Munich U-Bahn metro line terminates at the university and research facilities near the town. It is only two U-Bahn stops from Fröttmanning which has the newly built Allianz Arena.
Like many places near Munich, Garching bei München is a reasonably safe town. Various restaurants are scattered through town, but mainly in the center. The town is quiet and quaint, and has virtually no nightlife.
