Ismaning is a municipality in Bavaria, Germany. It is located near Munich at 48°13′30″N, 11°40′30″E, and has 14,638 inhabitants. Near Ismaning there is a large broadcasting facility called Transmitter Ismaning. Ismaning has good road and rail links to Munich city centre, and although a quiet and peaceful town, there is plenty to do. Ismaning is home to many traditional restaurants and eateries. Its small and quaint river running through the centre of the town offers many different types of freshwater fish.
