Florida's Second Congressional District is a U.S. congressional district in Florida which represents most of the eastern Florida panhandle along with much of the "Big Bend" area. Tallahassee, the state's capital, is the largest population center in the district. While the adjacent First District is among the most conservative districts in the state, the Second is more liberal and leans slightly less Republican in presidential elections. The residents of the Second District are currently represented by Democrat Allen Boyd. George W. Bush received 54% of the vote in this district in 2004.
