East Linga
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
East Linga is one of the Shetland Islands.
[edit] Geography and geology
The rock is gneiss with granite veins.
It is between Whalsay (to the west), and Grif Skerry to the east. There are many skerries and rocks in the channel between Whalsay and East Linga, many of which have disputed names, i.e. one local version, and a quite different one by the Ordnance Survey.[1]
West Linga, is on the other side of Whalsay. For the numerous other islands called "Linga" in Shetland, please see Linga (disambiguation)
