USRD Newsletter - Issue 14Hello, Dtbohrer. A new issue of the newsletter is available to read here. --O bot (t • c) 01:44, 1 October 2007 (UTC) KinzuaThe Kinzua Bridge article looks really good. How about, DYK...that Kinzua Bridge in Pennsylvania at Kinzua Bridge State Park was the world's largest and tallest railroad bridge at the time of its construction in 1882? This hook might be a little too long. Ruhrfisch always has good ideas for DYK. I would suggest running it by him. Dincher 21:56, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
An article which you started, or significantly expanded, Kinzua Bridge, was selected for DYK!Thanks for your contributions! I've lost most of my Wiki battles to preserve detail. I'm wondering if people want Wiki to represent their worldview and not attempt to place people back in history. Airport and former airlines are excellent examples of what I mean. Try to find out which airports Eastern Airlines served, or which former airlines served a particular airport. Look at the history of Erie Intl Airport's page to see how quickly any evidence of Delta's former service there was removed. We only want to know today's airports, something you can find on any airport website. We've systematically removed all historical information about the relative size and reach of airports, abandoning a Wiki rich in history for Wiki Yellow Pages. It's maddening to me. I offered my two cents on the mayors, but I'll be content however it turns out. --Pat 23:18, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

I, Durova, am pleased to award these imperial triple crown jewels to Dtbohrer for outstanding contributions to Wikipedia's coverage of Pennsylvania. Thank you for building a better encyclopedia. DurovaCharge! 05:23, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Your Imperial Majesty, I wasn't aware that Pennsylvania had covered bridges. Maybe I did a jigsaw puzzle of that one years ago? Great work! DurovaCharge! 05:24, 3 December 2007 (UTC) Thanks for supporting my RFA
PS Thanks too for your kind words on my talk page - hope we can work together on more articles, maybe Erie Bluffs State Park can be a GA someday? Ruhrfisch ><>°° 18:00, 15 December 2007 (UTC) Orphaned non-free media (Image:Erie county flag.jpg)

Curtze ArticleI just submitted it to Did You Know? I expect some back and forth on the write up, and possibly rejection, but it will be a learning experience. Thanks for the suggestion. --Pat (talk) 22:15, 28 December 2007 (UTC) |
