The band was actually formed close to around 1999 by drummer Andy Taylor and other various musicians no longer associated in the line-up, but began recording and being consistently active in the live local Topeka music circuit around 2003. The band around this point including bassist Victor Polanco, guitarist Gerren Andres, and vocalist James Copeland (who replaced original vocalist Ryan Cox). Eventually Victor parted ways with the band in return for adding bassist Steve Holder, and guitarist Scott McPherson. After spreading their name around the Topeka and Kansas City area local scenes, the band parted ways with Holder and welcomed Polanco back to the group. Going on strong for close to two years in this unified line-up, Polanco again decided to part ways with the band directly after finishing the recording process for their eventual release of Infernal Rise. The band would continue on without a bassist while singlehandedly securing a record deal with newly formed UK label Siege of Amida Records and preparing for their first full tour alongside Necrophagist, Misery Index, and Origin all throughout Europe with Unmerciful bassist Derek Engemann subbing in. Directly before these happenings James Copeland left the group, though he eventually came back briefly to perform on the Necrophagist tour, and the band quickly welcomed in the promising voice of Stephen Babcock. Beyond the tour with Necrophagist the band did a summer run with labelmates Whitechapel, The Red Death, and The Partisan Turbine with Polanco coming back in to help for a final time. Shortly after the band secured their bass guitar position with former Eyes of the Betrayer vocalist Dustin Albright. Within weeks of the newly completed unit did guitarist Scott McPherson announce he would be quitting his long run with Diskreet to focus on school. In general Diskreet fashion, they quickly recuperated with the inclusion of former Obsidian Shore guitarist Clay Morales. After a brief December 2007 US tour with Brain Drill, Burning the Masses, and A Breath Before Surfacing, the band had announced their separation with Morales, and explained that they would be writing their next record with Inferi guitarist Malcolm Pugh for a later 2008 release.
