Dermot Mac Murrough - King of Uí Cheinnsealaig and King of Laigin (Leinster) - the man who invited the Normans to Ireland.

It is believed that this is true representation of Dermot, taken from life.

This is a Wood Engraving of an illustration that appeared in a manuscript of one of Gerald de Barry's works. [Gerald de Barry is also called Giraldus Cambrensis or Gerald of Wales]. The original is in colour.
