[3] Early in his career Reyes was used primarily as a relief pitcher; however, he has started before. He is also known as a “lefty specialist.” During his 2005-2007 seasons alone left-handed hitters batted just .203 against him where as right-handed hitters batted .321 against him. [4]

[5] So far in his 2008 season, Reyes has been a reliable pitcher in the Minnesota Twins bullpen. Through June 5, 2008, he has pitched 18.1 innings, posting a 1-0 record, 2.45 ERA, and 11 strikeouts.
