MISSING TEXT
The vandalism to Creative Inspiration by (vandal deleter 81.158.200.199), hasn't been reverted. There seems to be a problem with the updating of the page, as a large chunk of deleted text (Vision Of A Golden Rump, etc) is still missing. Someone needs to fix this. The page won't revert back to before 81.158.200.199 appeared on the scene.
Dario Fo's picture also seems to have disappeared. There must be a technical fault with this page, that Wikipedia need to correct, maybe a bug.
No mention of 'Mum's Marijuana is Best'written in Milan in about 1976 at the request of concerned parents. ............
[edit] Names of Plays
I've only ever seen the play down here as We Can't Pay? We Won't Pay! advertised as the snappier Can't Pay? Won't Pay!, so I'm going to change it. If anyone has the Italian titles to add to the article that might clear up some ambiguity. Chaikney 13:30, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
- There is more than one translation of that particular play into English, and different translators have rendered the title differently.IanThal 23:17, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
The title of Can't Pay? Won't Pay! is actually Non Si Paga! Non Si Paga!, which translates literally into "We Won't Pay! We Won't Pay!" So I'll change it in the interest of accuracy.
[edit] Creative Inspiration?
Most of this section as it is now written is completely irrelevent to Fo's work. How do any of these works connect with Fo?IanThal 10:39, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
I guess Dario Fo's work has inspired the whole genre of political satire, and that's the point of this. Dario Fo was a pioneer in political theatre, thus, others have followed. Listing other artists who are inspired by such great works as Accidental Death Of An Anarchist, is a relection of the universality of the character and plot manifestations of Dario Fo, thus the Creative Inspiration section seems to serve a useful purpose, and arguably, should remain.
