Danyon Joseph Loader ONZM (born on April 21, 1975 in Timaru) is a swimmer from New Zealand, based in Dunedin. He represented New Zealand at three Commonwealth Games; 1990, 1994 and 1998 and two Olympic Games; 1992 and 1996. In 1992, at Barcelona, he won a silver medal in the 200 m Butterfly. In 1996, he won two gold medals in Atlanta, in the 200 m and 400 m freestyle races. He set World Records in the 200 m butterfly and 400 m freestyle (short course) and was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2002.

He has recently reappeared on the local swimming scene after years spent away from it. He is now interested in coaching and takes part in youth development programmes.
